3. PERSONAL DATA WHICH THIS SITE COLLECTS AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
This website collects and uses personal data for the following reasons:
3.1 Tracking site visits
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interactions. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to track their journey through the website.
Although GA records data such as
- your geographical location,
- a device,
- internet browser and
- operating system
none of this data identifies you personally to us.
GA also writes the IP address of your computer that can be used for personal identification, but Google does not give us access to it. We therefore consider Google to be a third party data processor.
GA uses cookies, details of which you can find in the Google Developer Guides.
Deactivating cookies on your internet browser will stop GA from tracking any part of your visit to pages on this website.
3.2 Contact forms
If you choose to contact us through the contact form on our Contacts page, none of the data you provide will be stored on this website or will be transmitted/processed by a third party data processor. Instead, the data will be collected in an email and will be sent to us via the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP).
Our own SMTP servers are protected by SSL (sometimes known as TLS), meaning that e-mail content is encrypted via SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent over the Internet.
The contents of the email are then decoded from our local computers and devices. However, not all mail servers are protected in this way. Therefore, we recommend that you always consider e-mail as an insecure medium and not include personal, confidential or otherwise sensitive information in an email.
In order to keep track of our correspondance with clients and partners, we keep emails indefinitely or until their removal has been requested (see p. 5).
4. Personal data collected automatically:
When visiting any of the pages of the website, the web server on which www.heronbg.com is located automatically recognizes and collects your IP address that has been determined by your ISP and does not personally identify you.
Log Files
Like many other sites, your system information is recorded in log files that contain a set of technical information:
- IP address;
- ISP (Internet Service Provider);
- your browser (for example, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox…);
- when you visited the site as well as
- which pages you have visited on the site.
This data is stored on our web hosting company’s (Super Hosting) web server. Since they collect data we can only monitor and it’s not stored on our system, we therefore consider them to be a third party data processor.
5. RIGHT TO ERASURE (“RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN”)
If you would like to have your contact information* removed from the email server, provided by SuperHosting.BG, please let us know in an email sent to gdpr@heronbg.com from the email address you want to be removed.
Please note we will only remove email addresses where the request is originating from. In order to make sure your mail reaches us, please include a statement in the mail body (don’t send it blank).
Once received, we will process your request and notify you within two weeks. Exception to removal requests are legal cases where a legal body or a law in our contry prohibits us from processing your requert.
* Email address, name and any additional private information you decide to include in an email to us.
6. THIRD PARTY DATA PROCESSORS
We use a number of third parties to process your personal data on our behalf. These third parties have been carefully selected and all comply with the laws listed in section 2.
- Google (Privacy Policy)
- SuperHosting.BG (Privacy Policy)
7. DATA BREACHES
Within 72 hours of a security breach, we will report unauthorized access to personal data stored on our computer systems or the third party database if it is obvious that personal data has been stolen.
